This is a small repair shop type building. Its construction is ubiquitous around the Cape with vertical sheaths of interlocking aluminum capped by a metal roof. The thing that attracted me to this building is the bright blue color with the white doors. This color is fairly recent as the entire property had all vegetation removed and the property was paved over as the function changed from automobile repair shop to the hub for a school bus company. facia is missing and isn’t likely to be repaired soon.

I’ve obviously set this against the sliver of sky. The building has square white garage doors. The glass openings are framed in white. The blue and white with the hard lines and industrial feel contrast with the powder blue sky and puffy clouds that it obscures. This is the basest version of form follows function. The building does what it needs to do, but it does that and little else.
